Job Summary:

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for managing the department with emphasis on coordinating and maintaining the floor support functions and monitoring effectiveness of QC personnel.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures timely, efficient and accurate inspectors and test protocols
  • Works with department managers in Production, Customer Service and Product Development to determine priority needs
  • Coordinates efficient start up approval checks and other inspections
  • Manages personnel including performance, time off requests, and payroll functions
  • Provides staffing and training suggestions
  • Leads daily department meetings and provides expectations and communicates priority needs
  • Serves as a resource on product knowledge
  • Oversees rework and sorting functions
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance Manager to reduce quality claims, rework hours, and reduce overall defect rate
  • Identifies areas for improvement and implements procedures to reduce rework
  • Oversees Hold and Release areas to ensure timely release and disposition
  • Manages the Non Conformance Report (NCR) process including investigations, disposition and documentation
  • Documents and evaluates customer complaints, including root cause and corrective action
  • Participates in daily production meetings and daily shift turnover meetings
  • Works with the Training department to develop training and personal development plans

Secondary Functions:

  • Participates in the internal auditing process
  • Back up to Quality Assurance Manager, as needed
  • Work with other departments to focus on continuous improvements

  • 5 years experience in Quality control in a manufacturing setting
  • 5 years leadership experience including managing others

Process Engineer

Job Summary:

The Process Engineer is primarily responsible for providing process solutions and support in the area of production improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive value by improving setups and increasing machine efficiency
  • Development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to measure efficiency and machine utilization

Job Summary:

The Machine Operator – Level II is responsible for producing a quality product to the customer’s specifications efficiently. The Machine Operator – Level II will also work on continuous improvements with regard to workmanship standards, standard operating procedures, and safety suggestions.

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor manages the activities of the Production Floor to achieve optimum quality, cost, efficiency and machine utilization performance while assuring internal and external customer satisfaction.

  • Supervise production employees and monitor production to ensure approved standards and specifications are met.

  • Provide the necessary level of training and safety inspections to assure a safe work environment.
  • Ensure training is coordinated for new employees as well as incumbents so that product quality and work flow are maintained.
  • Review performance of personnel as required and documents required performance enhancement plan as needed or any other disciplinary actions that may be required.
  • Service as a manufacturing technical expert for identified manufacturing processes. Continually review process and results, anticipate problems, and troubleshoot processes and equipment with the assistance of other departments.
  • Complete Payroll related administrative responsibilities including approving bi-weekly time cards.
  • Oversees and coordinates PTO and employee time off requests ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Provides input on employee compensation and advancement opportunities.
  • Supervise temporary employees as required. May train as needed.

Third Shift Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for opening plant at the start of the workweek (Sunday) and start up auxiliary equipment.

  • Support the quality department assisting with assurance that all products are within specifications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to supervise production employees and administer policies and procedures and assist with any employee relations issues and counseling as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associates Degree in related field of study strongly preferred.
  • Five (5) years of working experience in a manufacturing setting required.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to utilize a forklift and maintain certification.

The Packer is responsible for the packing and testing of the pouches to meet production schedules and maintain compliance to company and customer quality standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Inspect finished product according to pouch quality specifications and package product as specified by customer. Packer is responsible to review P.O. cover sheet.
  • Inspect and pack pouches on retort and SG operations.
  • Run and maintain Inno-lok machines while inspecting and packaging finished product.
  • Label packaged product and palletize product
  • Prepare new cartons as needed for job run
  • Monitor the quality of the product being converted to ensure compliance to company and customer quality specifications
  • Alert Machine Operator and Quality Control of any suspected material non-conformances
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork, reports and quality records associated with pouch operations
